Advances in psychotherapy
Advances in psychotherapy come along very rarely.
Is this an advance? Or, is this a statement of what has been the elephant in the therapy room? You decide.
If you are a potential client, you ought to know this: therapists who can help you to take responsibility for solving your problems are doing you a BIG favour, for life.
Those who insist that you enter therapy until… you have paid off their mortgage… or, you ‘get better,’ by means unknown, are, frankly, exploiting you.
Most of my clients solve their own problems in one session (of between 2 and 3 hours). Yes, you read correctly. A few take two sessions, and almost no-one needs three sessions.
How? Why?
